how it works.
interested in working with me? let's hop on the phone for 15-minutes to see if your project is a good fit!
we'll discuss your idea, desired size, level of detail, timeline, digital design requests, etc.
if we decide to work together, great! iâll send along an invoice that details the scope of work and timeline. if it looks good, youâll pay a 50% deposit to make things official!
next i get scrappinâ!
i will check in at least three times throughout the illustration process.
first, when i am about 5% into the project and have gathered an initial color/texture palette.
next when i am about 30% through, which is usually when i have the focal point(s) established.
and again when the collage is 'finished.'
these check ins can be over the phone, email and/or text, whatever you prefer. and if you would like me to simply do my thing, that's also an option! the purpose of the check in is simply to give you the opportunity to weigh in - what are you not digging? what do you love? etc.
if your project includes graphic design - e.g. a birthday invitation where the artwork is paired with typography - we will have one more check in to discuss font & layout preferences. you will have the opportunity to review copy and request two revisions thereafter.
once i receive your seal of approval, i will seal the artwork in several coats of protective lacquer.
if you want the work as a digital file, please let me know up front as that will be an additional cost and should be done prior to the lacquer.
if you do choose for the work to be scanned, you will receive a high-resolution digital scan of your artwork as well as the lacquered original.
if the scope includes graphic design, you will also receive high resolution pdfs. you can take these to your local printer and/or you can work with my printing partners, Prints of Love & Printful.
